A comma is used for very short pauses.
Example
1. Hey, how are you?
2. You said you'll do it, didn't you?

A semicolon is used to express a shorter full stop pause (or long comma pause). It is actually used to separate two similar ideas in a single sentence but also seems them to be two different sentences
Example
1. Let's have some time together in the park; Mondays are pretty quiet there.
2. Money is the root of all evil; I don’t believe the reverse is necessarily true.

Colon is used to give further details related to a sentence. It is always used after a complete sentence.
Example
1. There are three types of muscle in the body: cardiac, smooth, and skeletal.
2. We have two options here: stay and fight, or run like the wind.
