the chapter motion is little complicated by if you understand its basic things it will be easy for you to understand. If I am not wrong you are referring to ICSE Syllabus. I think ratna sagar p Ltd. is good book for that.

to understand the chapter motion in physics 9th class.
we have to read the lesson when we are in the mood of study. actually i m also in 9th and i also unable to understand that lesson, but i will read it again so i understand.
some basics of the chapter motion.
movement of any object from one position to another position with respect to the observer is called as motion.
there are many important notes which is available in our book.
some formulas
speed= distance travelled/time taken.
average speed= total distance travelled/total time taken.
velocity= displacement of object/time taken.
acceleration= final velocity-initial velocity/time taken.
1st equation of motion = v=u+at
2nd = s=ut+1/2st²
3rd= v²=u²=2s

i have s.chand science book. in this book there is everything explained and we can watch video for more explanations.
s.chand book are available online like in amazon store. i buy physics, chemistry, biology i love all three book.
i suggest s.chand books for 9th class.
