There are different properties for log to solve them..
You can use log table to find the value of log...
like log base 2, log base 4, log base 5 etc.

So to use log table in logarithm you can use this 4 simple steps.

1.Choose the correct table: To find
 log_{a}(n)
you will need a log base a table.
where \: a = 123.... \\ like \:  log_{a}()  =  log_{10}() ..or \: etc.
Most log tables are for log base 10, which are called common log.

2.Find the correct cell:Look for the cell value of the following intersections, ignoring all decimal places.

3.
example =  \\  log_{10}(31.62)  \\ row = 31...column = 6....cell \: value = 0.4997.
3. Use smaller chart for precise number.

4. prefix a decimal point:The log table only tells you the portion of your answer after the decimal point.

5.Find the integer portion.
