There are two options when making your own scrim. The first is by using tracing paper, this is the cheapest option but is also the most fragile. The second option is by using Lee Filters Diffusion paper. This cost more than tracing paper but is a much higher quality and less prone to tearing and cathcing fire!

Tracing Paper
For the very largest scrims we use 1.5m wide rolls of tracing paper. This can be quite difficult to source as most tracing paper is only 1m wide. The 1.5m wide that we use is 90gsm called Calque Tracing Paper REF 12130 with a barcode number of 3148950121301 and it originated in france. At the moment I’m afraid we don’t have any supplier names but you should be able to find it with the details we have provided.
