First of all let me explain what ionization enthalpy means.
The energy required to oust an electron from the outer most shell of an atom is called ionization enthalpy.
Atomic size is inversely proportional to ionization enthalpy...

Ionization enthalpy
----------------------------

Along a group --->
Along a group from top to bottom ionization enthalpy decreases due to increase of atomic size.

Along a Period --->
Along a period from left to right ionization enthalpy increases due to decrease of atomic size.

Kimmus: Hope this helps. Any doubts regarding this question persists, kindly ask it to me. Thank you :)
Yuhiiiii: Thnkx . you really helped me.
Kimmus: My pleasure @Yuhiiii

Ionization energy increases across a period and decreases down a group. To vary-Along a group- Along a group from top to bottom ionization enthalpy decreases due to increase of atomic size. Along a period- Along a period from left to right ionization enthalpy increases due to decrease of atomic size. Hope I helped u... Plz mark as the BRAINLIEST answer if helpful...
