SHIVAJI : HE is credited with carving out The Maratha Kingdom , was born near Pune in 1630 CE . He spent the early years of his life with his mother Jija Bai and his gardian Dadaji Kondadeva . Shivaji began his conquest when he was 18 years old . When the Sultan of Bijapur become ill and the state weakened he gathered a group of his solders and capture a no. of forts in Pune . His most favorite dagger and a special weapon of Shivaji is tiger claws' ( Baghnakhs ) . He killed Afzal khan
and forcely occupied Bijapur and many territories in Mughal Empire . When Shivaji visited Aurenzeb's court due to the treaty of Purandar Auranzeb make Shivaji to sit with lower rank of Mansabdar . He make to fool the guard and escape in fruit basket . After that he annexed Maharashtra , Karnataka and Tamil Nadu . He too kill Aurenzeb by tiger claws' . After adding many territories to Maratha Kingdom he die on 3 april 1680 CE
