You are the father of the nation and our role model in every walk of life. We the people of India know that you gave us the message of cleanliness and you were the strong follower of cleanliness because you wanted India to be Clean and Green always. We also know your efforts in promoting cleanliness and sanitation everywhere in India. But, it is a fact that we as a responsible Indian citizen, did not follow your lessons completely and there is a lake of cleanliness and greenery in our country.
Wherever I go, I see shopping bags and garbage dumped on the roads and nearby areas. Garbage and waste bins are often seen overflowing everywhere, whereas, rubbish collecting vans do not come in many areas, which has resulted in rubbish pile-ups all over. Our country is almost in a bad state as pollution is everywhere.
People of my country are facing many problems in health, transportation and other facilities because of garbage and dirt, hence our country cannot walk on the path of fast development as it is falling ill. So, it is our collective responsibility to participate in making India a clean and green country for us and coming generations.
We feel shameful that we could not able to follow your lessons, but there is still a chance if we promise you on your 150th birth anniversary, that we will completely follow your message of cleanliness. If we assure you that we will act as a responsible citizen, we will make our country clean and green forever. There is no doubt about this we all want to see our India, “Clean & Green” and we will make it again.
I admire all the qualities of yours but one of the qualities that inspire me a lot is cleanliness. The only reason that inspired me to work for cleanliness in my country is your cleanliness mission and similarly, our Prime Minister has also initiated a program to make India clean forever under the Swachha Bharat program.
I have already started following cleanliness principles as I keep myself, my family, my friends, my school and my area clean. I always use wastebasket and try to put the waste in those baskets. I wash my hands properly with hand sanitizers before and after eating. I will try my level best to stop wasting water and food and maintain proper hygiene everywhere. I, with my schools' friends, will volunteer us for cleanliness mission in our school and in our community as well. We will raise public awareness about this clean India mission among the people of India.
On 150th birth anniversary of yours, I promise you and fully assure you that I will work selflessly and devote myself to carry forward your mission in all over the country. Indeed, this would be a great tribute to you from me. I hope you will surely be happy and proud of us for making efforts and contributing towards this clean India mission.
