Dear Sir/Madam,
This is a request to allow me to carry my mobile phone to the college. I understand that it is against the college rules to do so, but I am away from home for almost 12 hours a day. My day begins with my basketball practice from 6:00 to 7:00 am, for which I leave home at around 5:30 am. My one-hour table tennis coaching begins right after college at 3:00 PM. As you already know, my mother is a single parent and I support the family’s finances by waiting tables at “The Park”. My shift at the hotel begins at 4:30 pm and ends at 8:00 pm post which I go home.
My mother is beginning to worry about my safety as I am away from home for most of the day. I would like to keep her updated about my day, for which I’ll need to bring my mobile phone with me. Please be assured that I will not use it while in the classroom. I will use it only to communicate with my mother.
