                               Greenwoods Celebrated Teacher’s Day

Greenwoods Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 5, 2018. There was an unusual excitement in the school atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of classes XI & XII took over the duties of the teachers for the day. A special morning assembly was held in which the students paid homage to their teachers through poems and speeches. The Principal, Mrs. R. Jain, addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success. There was a special celebration for teachers which included games with many prizes followed by a grand lunch. The Principal, Mrs. R. Jain appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. Addressing the teachers on the occasion, Mr. O.P. Sharma, the Chairman & Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, the Director extolled the role of teachers in a student’s life.

Teachers’ day is celebrated to express our gratitude and appreciate the hard work of our Teachers. Teachers’ Day in India is observed on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan that falls on 5th of September every year. This great son of India was a teacher and later he became the Vice-President of Indian Republic. On the death of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan became the President.
