Depends on atomic number we can

write the electronic configuration

For example :-

(i) let us take Oxygen .

Atomic number of Oxygen :- 8

Electronic configuration of Oxygen :-

1s2 , 2s2 , 2p4

(ii) Now let us take Iron (Fe)

Atomic number of Iron :- 26

Electronic configuration of Iron :-

1s2 , 2s2 ,2p6 , 3s2 , 3p6 , 4s2 , 3d6
