Respected Sir/ Madam,
I, (your name), am a student of Class X in your school. My English exam is scheduled to be held on (date). But I have to take my father to hospital for his (health problem). Appointment was taken a month ago and cannot be postponed, as no date is free with the doctor for next 3 months. We cannot delay his test as it is very much urgent. I am only child of my parents and nobody else in the family can fulfil this responsibility. Therefore, I request you to postpone my exam. I shall attend the exam on any other date as decided by you.
Hope you will understand my problem and allow me to skip my English exam on said date.
