Hey dear!
Before I begin, I'd like to tell that I myself used these tricks to help me score 96 percent in class 10 boards.

1 Make sure you write your answers in good handwriting. it does not need to look super good or something like calligraphy but it should be legible..

2 try not to write meaningless answers especially in the beginning of the paper

3 if you have if you have some time left at the end use it to underline the important words or points

4 try that at least the first few questions you attempt are very correct. this gives a good impression

5 nobody wants and has time to read super long answers so try to stick to the word limit. and keep your answers short and meaningful

6 Make sure that you leave some space between two answers.

7 Indeed,it is true that there are many teachers who give marks by reading the first and the last few lines of the answer especially in subjects like social science or English. never the less you should make sure that even in the questions you do not know much about, you write some good points first.

8 support your answer with diagrams wherever required if you have time.

These are some of the tips for making an impression on the examiner.

Apart from this it is also essential that you prepare well.
Keep on learning and revising throughout the year that you do not have to do all the work at the end.
It's important to take school exams seriously as they give you good amount of practice.
and when you are done with your syllabus try solving some previous years question papers and sample papers. they really important.
I have even experienced that some questions are very similar to the ones that were asked in the exam.
If you want to prepare well, I think it is most important to practice and solve as many papers as you can before the exam. And of course, knowing your content well helps.

I hope it helps you.
Feel free to ask me if you have anymore questions. I'd be happy to help
