People should not be allowed to go on a hunger strike as they usually do it when they want the government or any other group or individual to agree them or change things things according to them.Sometimes the deals are useless or can harm the feelings of people or can harm a country or a group.In hunger strike people do not eat for days this is also a problem as they get ill.
