My Dear Friend,
Please take my friendly salute. Yesterday, I got your letter. You have asked me to write you about how I observed the Ganesh Puja. I am writing it below.

We held a meeting in the school and decided to observe the Ganesh Puja. The rates of subscription were fixed. The Ganesh Idol was ordered. For this we decorated the gate, the compound and the Puja-hall. The decoration was very nice. The image of Shree Ganesh was brought fro the artisan. This image was placed on a shrine. Our Sanskrit teacher became the priest and did the Puja. At 2 P.M. the flower-offering was held. We offered flowers to the deity.
A feast was arranged for this occasion. At 5 P.M. we enjoyed the feast. The items were very tasteful. Then the teachers and the invitees took their meals. Then the volunteers took their meals. Next day, the immersion ceremony took place. We carried the image to the nearest river. There we immersed the image.
