NOTE - MAKING
1. We need to remember some very important points:-
(1) Notes must be short and relevant.
(2) Notes should not be written in complete sentences. Auxiliary very (Helping Hand) should not be used.
(3) Make notes with the help of abbreviated sentences.
2. DEVELOPING NOTES IN A PARAGRAPH:-
We generally asked to summarise the passage into a short paragraph in about 80 words. So, we should expand the notes into a short paragraph. The Paragraph should be coherent and in logical order. Grammatically correct and complete sentences should be used to construct a paragraph.
3. DRAWING CONCLUSION:-
It is required to sum up the arguments of the passage in two or three sentences.
4. FINDING A TITLE:-
A title reflects the main theme of the passage. Read the passage very carefully to find the title.Sometimes the hint to the title is given either in the beginning or at the end of the passage should be in 3 or 4 words. The important words in the title should begin with capital letters.

•The topic sentence of each paragraph is the main point/the central theme and the ideas to it are the sub points.
•sub points should be limited to five.
•each sub points may or may not have supplementary ideas which becomes sub-sub points. Do not give examples to support the main ideas.
•proper indentation is essential.
•include short forms for long words in the notes, you may also use symbols and figures for abbreviation.
•underline all short forms. Provide the key for the short forms at the end of the notes.
•cover all the important points whole preparing the notes.
•identify and club similar ideas scattered in different paragraphs. Subtitling paragraph wise to make Notes short and precise.
