how to write official invitation to president of student Union

Answer:
theunion has seen much change in its recent history, all culminating in what is today an effective student advocacy group.
This year, the Union will expand beyond its traditional committees and meeting halls to incorporate novel meeting venues and partner with new student groups to pursue initiatives of importance to the student body. Each month the Union will hold a town hall meeting in the Howard Thurman Center at the George Sherman Union, providing students with a forum to affirm their approval of progress being made, voice their concerns or vent their complaints.
The Union has already begun working with student groups to host events that will raise awareness about important issues on campus. In October, the Union will co-host a panel discussion with Every Person Counts (formerly the Boston University Women’s Center) to discuss the sexual assault policy at BU, what resources are available to victims and what concerns students have regarding the issue. The Union has also helped organize the Second Annual BU Leadership Conference and the First Annual Majors Exposition, both of which will be held at the end of this month.
This is a year when the Union will focus equally on short-term goals as well as long term initiatives. We understand that students are only at BU for four years and want to see their concerns addressed while they are here. We aim to produce tangible positive change that students will feel in their day-to-day experience on-campus. Change has already begun with the addition of more than 80 additional electrical outlets in the GSU.
Over the last few years, students have united around many issues and in the Union they found resolution. In spring 2005 the student body’s cry for cable television was answered. This spring work began on Rhett’s Diner, in response to students’ demand for a late-night eatery. And most recently, the Union successfully advocated for a change in the greatest of student concerns, the University Guest Policy. These are all examples of what we, the student body, can accomplish when we unify and present ourselves as a single voice and mature partner in the continuous pursuit of enhancing our BU community and experience.
I challenge you to discover what you are passionate about and how you can use that passion to benefit your university community. The BU experience is a shared experience, one that thrives on our ability to work together and draw upon our intellectual diversity.
This truly will be a year of positive change, a great year for the student body, and the Union will be there to make it happen.
We invite you to join us at our first General Assembly meeting of the year tonight at 8 p.m. in Photonics Room 211 and discover how you can get involved. We, the Student Union, look forward to working with all of you in the coming year.
Adil Yunis
