it can be prevented by tooth paste means by base tooth decay is caused due to the release of acid so to neautrilaze it we should use base which is in the form of paste or baking soda

tooth decay occurs when the ph of our mouth becomes below 5.5 ph....our teeth corrodes when the ph level is lower than 5.5..bacteria present in the mouth produce acid by degradation of sugar and food particles remaining in the mouth after eating...
it can be prevented by using toothpastes which are basic in nature...they neutralise the excess acid and prevent tooth decay...
