transpiration is the water vapour released by plants. But the suction pull created by transpiration makes the water vapour reach great heights.At hight altitude , the temperature cools and the water vapour condenses, and comes back to rain

The process by which plants loose excess amount of water from their body through stomatal pore in gaseous state is called transpiration.

It is useful for rain because when these water in gaseous form are released they move upwards and accumulate in the clouds. This is how transpiration is important for Rain.
