Answer:

Xylem moves water from roots to the leaves, and phloem moves food from the leaves to the rest of the plant. During transpiration water evaporates from the leaves and draws water from the roots.

Answer:

There are two tissues in plants which help in transportation of water and food materials. They are called vascular bundles. The tissues are:

1. Xylem - It helps in the conduction of water and other dissolved minerals which are absorbed from the soil to the other parts of the plant.

They are four types of xylem tissues: Tracheids, vessels Xylem parenchyma and xylem fibres.

2. Phloem - It helps in the conduction of prepared food from the leaves to the other parts of the plant and it also helps in the upward movement of food to the young leaves.

There are four types of Phloem tissues: Sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres.

Hope it helps.
