Thanks for asking the question!

ANSWER::

There are two methods by which we can prepare Triphenylphosphine.

1. Industrial Synthesis - In this phosphorus trichloride, chlorobenzene, and sodium are reacted together to form triphenylphosphine.

Reaction is as follows => PCl₃ + 3PhCl + 6Na → PPh₃ + 6NaCl

2. Laboratory Method - In this phosphorus trichloride is treated with phenylmagnesium bromide or phenyllithium.

PCl₃ + 3C ₆H₅MgBr => C₁₈H₁₅P + 3Cl (with phenylmagnesium)

PCl₃ + 3C₆H₅Li => C₁₈H₁₅P + LiCl₃ (with phenyllithium)

Hope it helps!
