twins are formed in two ways: twins are formed due to occur when a fertilised egg splits into two. identical twins look almost exactly alike and share the exact same genes.

Hey
twins are of two types.
1)identical
2)non identical
-Identical twins
they are formed when the blastomeres seperate before the implantation.
they are of same sex and they are genetically identical.
-non identical twins(fraternal twins)
they are formed when more than one ova are released.
such type of twins are not identical.
generally they are of opposite sex.
sometimes they may be same sex also.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
