By talking away the power to VETO of any resolution by Five Country. But the question is whether they will allow to forego this special privilege. This can only be possible when all the remaining countries unite and threaten to leave UNO and form a separate World Body on UNO lines , if VETO power of five country is not withdrawn. This is the best alternative available.
But there is only a theoretical possibility as some of the small countries are fully dependant on these five countries and they will not dare to stand with other countries.
Another alternative is; VETO will be nullified , if minimum 75% of the countries present and voting , vote against that VETO for which again these Five countries will not permit.
However, some of the big countries such as India, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc can start a campaign and relentlessly pursue it, the more and more countries will join the bandwagon as the time goes by . Sensing the unity among big counties of the World, the privileged five will have to ultimately relent it .
But the problem is economics lies in the heart of politics every where. Countries who are in need of financial help, will be the easy targets of five big countries to weaken the unity.
The objective can be achieved only when all the countries not having VETO power, leave the UN one fine morning but possibility of which is remote but not theoretically impossible,
I think it will help you
