How UV Radiation causes increase in temperature?

There's a common notion that the hotter it is outside, the more likely you are to develop a sunburn.

But, the amount of UV radiation that reaches the earth on any given day is not affected by air temperature.

Excessive UV -B inhibits the growth processes of almost all green plants.

There is concern that ozone depletion may lead to a loss of plant species and reduce global food supply.
