Explanation:

This is a form of asexual reproduction in which new plants grow from the buds growing on the margin of the leaves. These buds are reproductive in nature and when they fall on the ground they germinate and form a new plant.

Begonia and Bryophyllum are examples of vegetative propagation by leaves.

If matter is made of two or more different elements, then the smallest unit of matter i called molecule. around us is matter. For a long time, there were two thoughts about matter. Some believed matter to be continuous like a block of wood, whereas, the others thought that matter was made-up of particles like sand. Let us perform an activity to decide about the nature of matter - is it un Molecule: A molecule is defined as the smallest unit of matter, which has an independent existence and can retain complete physical and chemical properties of the matter For example, a molecule of water. continuous or particulate? Let us dissolve some salt in a beaker which is half full and see what happens, What happens? We find that there is no increase in the level of water in the beaker. Where has the salt gone? The salt particles have occupied the space between the water particles. Thus, matter is not continuous. Figure illustrates this fact. Even when two or more atoms of same kind combine they can form a molecule. Por example, one molecule of oxygen consists of two atoms of oxygen. An atom is the smallest part of an element which can take part in a chemical change. 1.2 THE THREE STATES OF MATTER: SOLIDS, LIQUIDS AND GASES Matter exists in three states: Solids, Liquid and Gases. Water Water Water Solids 0 Add salt Stir -Salt Matter that is composed of atoms packed tightly together are known as solids. You cannot walk through a solid wall. The matter is packed so tight that it prevents you from moving through it. Solids hold their shape at room temperature. The pencil that you left in the desk at school will still be the same shape when you return tomorrow. Even in solids there is a small space between the atoms. Depending on how tight the atoms are packed determines the density of matter. This means that a one inch block of wood is not as dense as a one inch
