Venomous and poisonous may be mostly similar but they both are not same. An organism that creates a wound however small and inject some amount of toxin either in defence or for prey is called a venomous creature. But on the other hand poisonous creatures don't create any wound.

Answer:

VENOM

If it's injected—via a snake's bite or a bee's sting or the spiney protrusions on a frog's head—it's a venom.

POISON

If it's secreted through the skin, as in the case of poison dart frogs or a few species of birds, it's a poison.
