We have a fixed impression when we think of adivasis. We believe that they are exotic, primitive and backward. Their colourful costume, headgear, their dancing style and their primitive way of life often give us an impression that they they lack advancement. We also think that they resist new changes and ideas. This leads to their stereotyping.

Answer:

Adivasis are invariably portrayed in very stereotypical ways – in colourful costumes, headgear and through their dancing. Peoples seem to know very little about the realities of their lives, which often wrongly leads people to believe that they are exotic, primitive and backward
