The apartheid system in South Africa was ended through a series of negotiations between 1990 and 1993 and through unilateral steps by the de Klerk government. These negotiations took place between the governing National Party, the African National Congress, and a wide variety of other political organisations.

Apartheid was a name of system of racial discrimination unique to South Africa.
the white Europeans imposed this system on South Africa.During the seventeenth and eighteenth century the trading companies from Europe occupied it with arms and force in the way they occupied india.but unlike india a large number of whites had settled in South Africa and became local ruler.
the system of public toilets were all separate for the whites and black this was called segregation.
And was an umbrella organisation that led the against the policies of segregation.
