Answer:

If you mean how PM is appointed, here is the answer:

The party which gets absolute majority (more than 50% of seats) in the lower house of the India parliament (Lok Sabha) elects its leader. In most of the instances, the leader is already known to the whole country and party members. The election commission declares the results confirming the party in majority. Then, the president of India invites the leader of party with absolute majority to form the govt. The leader is then gets the maximum power /authority under the title called PM. He forms the govt by choosing / appointing other members of his party or supporting party as ministers of council to form the and run the Govt. In the event, if no party getting absolute majority - then, the leader of party with maximum number in the Lok sabha puts his claim to form the Govt to the President of India showing support of /from other parties. In either case (the party with or without absolute majority) - has to prove its strength / number on the floor of house to confirm that they are in the number (more than 50%) of the house actually representing the wishes of people of India/ elected by people of India areeing to their ploicies. The majority in the upper house of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) has no meaning because, the members of upper house are not elected by the people of India and hence the upper house members do not represent the true/actual wishes of Indian voters. The same procedure holds true for the appointment of Chief ministers of the states where Governor represents the President of India. The PM and CM would continue to hold the office for the term of 5 years or till they or their party enjoys the majority status. Sometimes, the majority status of a party comes under threat when the supporting coalition partners/parties withdraw their support or members of the ruling party defect in droves.

The time and space does not allow me to give examples of the how/when PM/CM existences comes under threat. The examples of Mr Atal Behari Vajpai (PM for only 13 days) or Mr Charan Singh (PM for 6 months but never faced Lok Sabha) or Mr Manmohan Singh of UPA/congress forming Coalition Govt in first term are well known. One can surf google / wikipedia for details of these examples

PLZZZZ..... MARK ME AS BRAINLIEST!!! I JUST NEED ONE MORE TO MAKE IT TO ACE
