how was area of circle derived??

The usual way to do it is to cut the circle into a large number of identical wedges, then line up the wedges, alternating right-side up and upside down. This makes an (approximate) rectangle with length equal to half the circumference and height equal to the radius. So A=12(2πr)r=πr2.
