Answer:

The art form in Paleolithic age were primarily of two types : stationary (like cave paintings)and  portable ( like small tablets, decorated small objects and figurines etc). The portable small objects were mostly curved out of stone or modelled with mud using stone tools just invented. The stationary art forms like cave paintings in Western Europe were created out of paints made from combinations of minerals, ochre, burnt bone meal and charcoal mixed into mediums of water, blood, animal fats and tree saps. Most of the portable art from this time as figurative, meaning it actually depicted something recognisable, whether animal or human in form.Cave paintings contain far more non-figurative art, meaning many elements are symbolic rather than  realistic.
