The Rajput policy of Aurangzeb was totally different from that of Akbar. While the Aurangzeb followed the policy of friendship with the Rajputs, the Aurangzeb followed the policy of enmity. Akbar made alliances with the Rajput states who made Mughal empire a strong empire but the Aurangzeb adopted the policy of annexation of Rajputs which turned a death bed for Mughals. Akbar adopted matrimonial alliances with Rajputs but Aurangzeb adopted the policy of religious intolerance with them.
