Dance show for PRC inmates
On October 19, the students of Ratnakar Shelke Dance Academy displayed their patriotism and their gratitude to the brave jawans who sacrifice so much just to keep our borders safe. They put up a dance programme at PRC (Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre) at Khadki. PRC is committed to looking after war veterans and defence personnel who have become physically challenged due to severe injuries in the course of action. A team of young students - Vaishnavi Girwe, Asmita Ghanwade, Sawan Jagtapand, Ashutosh Waghmare along with their instructor Sandi Thorwe - put up a lively performance, which included traditional Ganesh Vandana as well as lavani, hip-hop and a fusion dance. Later, they also kickstarted the Diwali celebrations by distributing chocolates and touching the feet of these bravehearts to show their reverence.
