The Catholic churches were responsible for the French Revolution: The Catholic churches authorised the clergy with the status of First Estate of Realm and empowered as the largest landowner and hence had control of all the properties and collected huge revenues from the French tenants.

France was divided into three estates : (1)Clergy ,(2) Nobility,( 3) peasants . and only peasants (like farmers, small business man,etc) was made to pay taxes church was responsible for the revolution because the church also took their share from the the third estate due to this share, they were very rich and the condition of the 3rd estate members was terrible. Thus, this made them to revolt.
