following are reasons which made church responsible for French Revolution :
i) 1/5th of the land was the property of the church .
ii) church got large incomes from tillers religious cards and gifts the higher clergy did not care for their spiritual duties and led a luxurious life and were corrupt & immoral.
iii) the lower clergy performed spiritual duties but they were poorly paid . this all led to French Revolution .
