in first general election the Indian National Congress was expected to win so it wasn't a big surprise.
out of 489 seats Congress won 364 seats in lok sabha it was a big surprise for everyone
in second election which was held in 1957 and 3rd election which was held in 1962 was won by congress by the same position of three fourth of the votes
