Darius or Darius the great was one of the greatest rulers of ancient Persian empire.He ruled the Persian Empire at it's best time period.

The whole empire was very huge at that time.But Darius managed to rule his empire efficiently, that's why he was one of the greatest rulers of the Persian Empire.

He decided to divide his whole empire into many provinces and appointed satraps to govern those provinces under his supremacy.That's why he managed to rule his empire efficiently.
