A sheep dolly was born in Scotland by cloning techniques on 5th July 1996. nucleus from the udder cell of sheep of 'Finn Dorset' variety had been introduced into enucleated ovum was allowed to develop in the uterus of Scottish sheep and thereby the 'Dolly' had been born. It was showing the characters as per the chromosome in nucleus and any characters of Scottish sheep was not visible
