The earliest reliably documented mention of the spherical Earth concept dates from around the 6th century BC when it appeared in ancient Greek philosophy but remained a matter of speculation until the 3rd century BC, when Hellenistic astronomy established the spherical shape of the Earth as a physical given. The paradigm was gradually adopted throughout the Old World during Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages.A practical demonstration of Earth's sphericity was achieved by Ferdinand Magellan and Juan Sebastián Elcano's expedition's circumnavigation(1519–1522).

Hii There!!!
Really interesting question..☺
✴The Earth is also called as "Blue-Planet" and it is the third planet from the sun.
Earth is the home of humans and millions of different species.
✴Our Earth is more than four billion years old.
The moment humans and many species inhabited the planet discovered the Earth.
However, it is not really possible to know that who truly discovered our planet 'Earth'.
✴Before 16th century, the Egyptians and the Sumerians observed and surmised that the planet may be spherical in shape but modern world believed that it is flat.
✴However, during 16th century Copernicus discovered that Earth is neither flat nor at the center of the solar system.
✴At last, it was "Copernicus" who first discovered the real nature of the planet .
