Babar Ali in the age of nine began a school of his own. At the initial stage of the school, Babar Ali used to play the role of teacher. He used to attend the school after completing his own classes. In the year 2002, his school got systematized and eight students enrolled in his school. Many of Ali's friend some of whom included I.A.S. officers and some NGOs distributed rice for mid-day meals. In his school students were provided education at no cost or free of cost.
He successfully received the help of student-volunteers from many high schools and educated people to teach students. The government of West Bengal recognized his school for the reason that he made a school which provided free education, a mid-day meal for students and he and his faculty provided quality education to children.
