Due to the continuous movement of plates creates a large disturbance inside the earth. The Himalaya are separated from southern India. Since in Himalayas many rivers originate it forms many deltas. The northern plain is one of the most fertile delta formed due the ganga- Bhramaputra rivers. It is a largely populated area.
