The farmer treated Gulliver like an animal and kept him for his amusement. After the queen bought him from the farmer he became a courtly diversion and entertained them by his musical talents. Social life became easy for Gulliver but was not enjoyable. Often he found the physicality of the Brobdingnagians repulsive. His life was endangered by various animals of the realm. It was difficult to eat the food on which the insects left slimy trails.
