In the June of 1880, Helen Keller was born to Arthur H. Keller and Katherine Adams Keller in the city of Tuscumbia, Alabama. Her father was a retired Colonel and they earned their income from their coffee plantation. When she was born, her parents welcomed their absolutely healthy daughter into their home, Ivy Green.
