Emperor Ashoka was referred to as "Beloved servant of the Gods" or Devanampiyadasi in his inscriptions. ... This inscription found at Maski, a village in Raichur district of Karnataka, confirmed the identification of Devanampiyadasi with Ashoka.

thanks..
