He was killed by the Aristocratic class. These class were not happy with him due to some reforms that Julius Caesar could introduce. For instance, the extension of citizenship to other provinces.

Heya friend ,

Julius Caesar was one of the most powerful of the Romans. He became the victim of the conspirators who believed him of being arrogant and ambitious of the throne and  the powers imposed on him. Contrarily, Caesar had always wished to uplift the name of Rome in the highest esteem, but the conspirators considered him ambitious of the throne.

The conspiracy was instigated by Cassius  who was jealous of Caesar's growing power and was afraid that he might once a dictator. He realized that to  gain legitimacy in the eyes of the Romans, he must win over the noble Brutus who was Caesar's great friend but he was swayed by the evil motives of Cassius and other conspirators who made him believe that Caesar was ambitious of the throne.

All the senators of the senate - house organized a nefarious plan to kill Caesar. They sent Decius Brutus to fetch him who told him that all the senators have concluded to honor Caesar by the crown to which Caesar agreed enthusiastically. On reaching the senate - house, he was ordered an immediate freedom of repeal of Publius Cimber who was the brother of one of the conspirators, Metellus Cimber. This proposal of the conspirators was seriously spurned by Caesar, which infuriated them resulting in the stabbing of Caesar by them.

Thanks,

Manav
