The CT  scan was done to reveal a mystery behind his death:murder or natural causes. King tut died according to archaeologists at the age of 17. The CT scan can also bring details about his royal lineage and his life and throne. CT scan could give a far more detailed and a three dimensional view of his scattered bones.

King Tut's toes and fingers and an eerie outline of his face could be seen as the mummy, resting in a box to protect it, was placed inside the machine in a specially equipped van parked near his underground tomb in the famed Valley of the Kings.

A portable CT scanner was used to scan king tut's body to get some idea about his life and death and to provide an accurate forensic reconstruction of the young pharaoh.

The night of the scan, workmen carried tut from the tomb in his box and then the CT machine scanned the mummy head to toe, creating 1,700 digital X ray images in cross section. After scanning all of it's intricate structures, the resultant picture takes on eerie detail.
