First of all , wax was carved out in the desired shape. Then it was coated with clay and was left for drying. Then a hole was made through the mud and it was heated so that wax would melt and then flow out of the clay layer.
Then molten metal was poured in the mould througt that hole and then it was left to cool down. Then the mould of clay is broken and the statue would be in the shape of the wax .
Hope this helps .
