How was nucleus discovered

jenila942003: by alpha ray scattering experiment performed by rutherford
jenila942003: he found the atomic nucleus
jenila942003: he took a gold foil and allowed a beam of alpha rays which are positive to pass through the foil. when these rays passed through the foil some are deflected at small angle and some refelcted at larger angles . most of them passed straight through the foil.by this he concluded there is a soa e in the atom which is postively charged

Here is your answer....

The atomic nucleus is the small, dense region consisting of protons and neutrons at the center of an atom, discovered in 1911 by Ernest Rutherford based on the 1909 Geiger–Marsden gold foil experiment.

Hope it helps you.
