Answer:

pungi was considered as reeded noise maker in aurangazeb s court. a barber from a family of musicians wanted to make pungi better. so he took a long hollow stem and punched seven holes on it and and made a wide opening on one end and small opening for playing it from other side. when he played this instrument in the king's court, the king felt happy. the barber Is called as nai in hindi and as he played that instrument in shah s durbar, it is known as shenai

\huge {\underline {\underline \pink{ƛƝƧƜЄƦ}}}

Shehnai has a letter tonal quality than pungi. It is a natural hollow stem pipe with holes on its body and is longer and broader than the pungi. Shehnai is, in a way, an improvement upon the pungi.
