Romeo had no intention to attend the ball but benvolio persuaded him to go by stating that the beautiful Rosaline, whom Romeo admired would be there and he would be able to see her at the hall .He even stated that none could compare to her Beauty and that he would think that his lover (swan) was a crow on seeing Rosaline Beauty.
