1. British sent troops to suppress the rebellion. Despite attempts to negotiate by adivasi leader the British besieged and open fire on them. 2. Those who participated in the rebellion were subjected to flogging and punishment. 3. Many villagers in fright deserted their villages and sought shelter in jungles. 3. The British were successful in putting down the rebellion but it looks three months to regain control.
